Estimates are professional opinions of probable cost based on the documents provided. Fees are fixed in your written quote, and you remain responsible for your final bid.
Scope of services
Each engagement is defined by a written quote that states the documents reviewed, the scope, the fee and the delivery date. Work outside that scope, including revisions for addenda or owner changes, is quoted separately before it begins.
Nature of estimates
Estimates and takeoffs are opinions of probable quantities and cost based on the documents provided and market conditions at the time of preparation. They are not a guarantee of bid results, subcontractor pricing or final construction cost. You are responsible for reviewing the estimate, applying your own judgment and determining your bid.
Your documents
You confirm you have the right to share the documents you send. We use them only to perform the engagement and keep them confidential.
Fees and payment
Fees are due on delivery unless invoicing terms are agreed in writing. We correct our own errors at no charge.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any engagement is limited to the fee paid for that engagement.
